Fr George Fernandes SJ will be the eleventh Principal of De Nobili School, FRI. He is expected to take charge in the last week of July. Fr George is not new to our family. We have known him earlier as the Director of De Nobili branch schools. He comes with a vision and a dream.
"It has been my dream to see all the DNS schools together as one family, making their impact felt not only around Dhanbad, but also all over the country and may be other places too," Fr George told denobili.edu.in.
On the new portal of DNS, he said, "It is a good means to reach out our alumni and to others too."
On May 5th, he attended the AGM of Kolkata Alumni Association along with Fr Hess, Fr Pius and Mr Bernard Pandey. He says, "the response of the group was very encouraging." Stressing on the need to develop the Dhanbad chapter of the alumni association, he said, " it is time for us to strengthen the Dhanbad chapter, which is struggling to come to terms with certain issues. But with proper coordination and leadership it can grow into a strong unit."
