New Hall opens on June 28th

The new auditorium, to be named after Fr McFarland SJ, Founder Principal of DNS, will be inaugurated on June, 28th at 10:30 AM. Mr B Muthuraman, MD, Tata Steel has kindly consented to unveil the plaque on this historic occasion. Fr James Kalapura, the Jamshepur Jesuit chief, will bless it.

On 28th July at 5:00 PM, the first programme for the parents will be held in the new auditorium. Young Nobilians will be putting up excerpts for the classic The Sound of Music, directed by Mr Raymond Perry and Mr Michael Jennings.

Fr Pius will be handing over charges to the new incumbent Fr George Fernandes during the occasion.

Earlier in the week, the Second DNS Film Festival will be organised in the new auditorium. Both the events are expected to attract over 100 participants from nine schools.

The preparations for the magnum opus are already underway. Mr SK Sinha (Paltan), a prominent industrialist and a 71 batch Nobilian, has kindly accepted to be the chief guest. Mr. Samit Ghosh from the first batch (and his better half) will be guests of honour.

An Alumni meeting cum contributory dinner is planned on the same day after the show. Alumni in and around Dhanbad are invited to participate. Nobilians from Kolkata chapter have promised to be present.
