Best Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The present volume narrates the magical journey of Harry Potter and his friends in their quest of the Horcruxes. There are episodes of profound grief-as in the death of Mad Eye Moody,Fred Weasely,Remus Lupin and his wife Tonks. All of them sacrifice their lives in combat with the Death-Eaters –who are the followers of Lord Voldemort.Losing the characters that readers dreamt of as they followed Harry and his friends in Hogwarts(their school) leaves the readers with a heavy heart-but still unable to down the book as Harry Potter went on to fight the long awaited duel with Lord Voldemort.
In their quest for Horcruxes, Harry and his friends stumble upon the secret of Hallows-which can make one powerful enough to conquer Death. The all powerful magic wand-the Elder wand,Resurrection-the stone that can bring back the dead and the Invisibilty cloak-which now Harry possesses are the pillars upon which the present volume has been wonderfully crafted.
The race is on between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort to find the Elder wand because the one who possesses the wand will become invincible. The prized wand is in the grave of Albus Dumbledore and although Lord Voldemort gets it first he is unable to use the wand to its maximum efficacy as he is not the true master because he has stolen it from the grave, and not won it by defeating Dumbledore face to face.
Harry Potter destroys the Horcruxes and the stage is set for the final showdown between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. At the climax, the end of Voldemort comes in the form of the rebound of Avada-Kedavra(death curse),which bounces off Harry’s shield created by a magic spell.
The storyline emphasizes the triumph of good over evil and portrays the bond of friendship and highlights the sacrifices of Harry’s friends to bring an end to Voldemort- to keep alive the spirit of the teachings of Alubs Dumbledore.
The reader may find it difficult to cast aside the charm of Lord Voldemort who impresses by his extraordinary magical skills.Harry Potter demonstrates commendable grit and determination to overcome all the odds stacked against him and earns the loyalty and love of his friends who do not blink twice before sacrificing their lives.Such is their bond of friendship and so great is their loyalty towards Harry Potter, who wins over his friends through courage and conviction in all that he is fighting for.
In this particular volume, the Battle of Hogwarts creates an atmosphere of electrifying intensity-where the power of curses of the Death Eaters and The Order of Phoenix clash headlong. The plot resembles a feel good family drama where the characters turn benevolent towards the end or undergo a transformation in their personal characters, as in the case of Malfoys or Neville Longbottom.
The fact that Snape acted on Dumbledore’s orders and did not murder him cleared some confusion created in the earlier episode.I believe the death of Snape in the hand of Harry Potter instead of Voldemort would have done better justice to the storyline.
Now that Harry Potter has become a family man,and his creator has put the lid on her pen, there lies an emptiness ahead but I am sure that there are many like me who sincerely wish that some day, maybe a couple of years from now, J.K.Rowling will change her mind and we shall spend the night in a queue once again to get a copy at dawn…
