The annual school magazine is back! Named Glimpses 2006-07, the magazine features some memorable photos from the yesteryears and showcases the best of creative talents abound in the Nobilians.
“I am happy to know that we are reviving the tradition of the School Annual Magazine. I want to take this opportunity to thank the editorial team, which has left no stone unturned in taking out such a well-organized year book,” Fr Pius Fernandes, SJ, former Principal said in his message to the readers.
In his editorial, P Vijayan Francis said, “This annual is a mirror view of De Nobili with memorable photo features for your album, and it showcases the creative talents abound in the Nobilians.”
On the influences and success of Jesuit education, he pointed out, “Now, what do Saurav Ganguly, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Lakshmi Mittal and a Nobilian have in common? Well, Jesuit Education and its ingredients viz. an unflinching will-power, a drive to excel, a never-say-die attitude, and an instinct for success.”
Fr George Hess SJ, the former Principal stressed on the need for proper attitude towards learning. He said, “Nobilians who have passed through these portals in the years gone by have made great achievements; and many of them express thanks to the teachers who motivated them. Honest, value-based effort, is still our aim for each student. ” 
Bernard Pandey, Vice Principal, further elaborated on the same topic. He said, “De Nobili does not believe in imparting ‘knowledge’ merely as ‘information’ but insists on giving value-based education, which the world needs today. Character building, and to be men for others are the objectives of this Jesuit school. Having an educated head is important, but more important is to have an educated heart.”
“With a fine blending of Indian tradition and modernity, the value-based Jesuit education, with impetus on sound character building so as to become men and women for others in the society, has made De Nobili unique among other educational institutions in this region,” said SK Sinha, president, Dhanbad Alumni Association in his message.
