Deven Sharma, a Nobilian, is the new boss of S&P

Sharma and his brother Ravi studied at De Nobili School, FRI. It was on the request of their father, Mr RN Sharma, once Chairman of BCCL and then of Coal India that DNS opened its first branch school, in Sijua.

"It is indeed a good news. I still remember Deven. He was wonderful student," said Ms Usha Gupta, one of the longest serving teachers at DNS.

Prior to joining S&P, Mr Sharma was executive vice president, Global Strategy at The McGraw-Hill Companies for five years. He was a partner with Booz Allen Hamilton, the global management consulting company, for 14 years. Besides a bachelor's degree from BIT, Mesra (1977), Sharma also had a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin and a doctoral degree in business management from Ohio State University.
