I reached Rotary Sadan at around 7.15 pm, just on time to hear the new committee being sworn in. The old committee under the leadership of …had done many a good work and organized several memorable events and so now with great élan they passed on the batton to the new committee.

It was a pleasure in the meet to see Father Pius, Father Hess, and Father George Fernandes and off course Bernard Pandey. Once again I listened with much admiration as Fathers spoke of the rich legacy of the school and the great plans that still need to be enforced. It cannot but be denied that Denobili is one of the best schools across the country but as Bernard Pandey rightly said: "…There are promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep."

And well if you thought that the evening was one of nostalgic recollections and somber discussions you are wrong. As usual it was marked by a lot of fun and frolic that characterizes the DNS meets. Right form the children to the women had a gala time in these events. The kids especially had a ball and there were numerous gifts and chocolates to pamper them. As I thoroughly enjoyed my evening out I reflected on the magic of the school that has not only united its alumni [many of whom separated by more than 2 decades but also have integrated their families under the aegis of the school.

Finally there was the fantastic food. By its sheer variety and taste it was in true sense a gourmand's delight. As I headed back home late at night I could not but again wait for the next event to be organized by the alumni.
