An Urgent Appeal for Subrata Bhattacharya

Dear Friends,

Give and you will receive. But this is not a ‘quid pro quo'. If you give for the purpose of receiving more fool are you.
My purpose in your school days was that you emerge in your teens with more mature bodies, more mature minds and with purpose in your lives. The purpose? Better human beings,

Not peers of Warren Buffet or Bill Gates in their wealth, although as human beings they are admirable. If you make a lot of money and that is all, no more, then you would be the poorest of the poor.

The aim of this letter is to encourage a move of my former students (and hopefully still friends) to set up a body which can react to, and seek, and solve health/financial problems.

It begins with Subrata Bhattacharys (Babul), diagnosed for multiple myeloma, for which a bone marrow transplant is required. Nobilians, with Loyolans also, are already rallying to put together needed funds.

There will be others at present or in future. Rally round to form a body which will polish up our "HUMAN CREDENTIALS", and help where it is needed.
[Whether you are aware or not I ran in Dhanbad a school for the blind during 17 years and in Bhubaneswar I founded (funded and built) Loyola Hospital mainly for the poor and needy.]

Now I welcome the opportunity to join friends in this endeavour.

God bless all
Fr. George A. Hess, S.J.
